Can't see comments preferences in site preferences with fresh 4.04
Hi hello i’m new in textpattern community, i love the cms.
One thing that surprised me first was that i had to specify for each article that “yes i allow comments”, that was pretty heavey to handle but then i saw in faq : http://textbook.textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=Preferences_Subtab that a coments section exists but on my installation i can’t see it, was it removed from 4.04 installs ? that so strange i didnt modify anything on my installation … !
Ok i re-uploaded all textpattern files with a fred download of 4.04 version and no change !
So strange …

Look for ‘Accept comments?’, it’s under ‘Publish’ in the Basic preferences tab.

this is happening to a lot of people these days (including me :) ).
it’s a known bug which is fixed in the latest svn version, here is what you need to do
