This is what I get in a new install!

*=There are some changed txp files …

It means exactly what it says… some files have been modified. Either by uploading them using FTP in ASCII mode (line breaks have changed, mostly harmless) or the file containing the checksums is not correct or something else has modified your textpattern install.
If all files are modified, it’s probably the first (FTP upload in ASCII mode).

Because of your reply, Ruud, I remembered that to transmit with Transmit I had to check off the ‘passive mode’! Otherwise I can’t connect to the server. Is this causing the above diagnose?
