path_to_site not being updated

hi!

I moved my site from directory A into directory A/michaelsremarks.org. I can access the textpattern interface, however my site is not working.

The URL michaelsremarks.org of course is pointing at A/michaelsremarks.org.

I think the error is in the path_to_site since it’s the only one not updated. Here is my diagnostics-poem:

RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php </IfModule>

And here are the error messages you get when accessing my site

I read in this discussion that path_to_site is automatically updated. As you can see, this is not the case here…

Any help?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: path_to_site not being updated

I think you have cause and effect reversed: path_to_site isn’t the cause of the problems, it’s a symptom. path_to_site is not used for anything critical.

My guess is the cause is a symbolic link or alias or similar that’s tricking the public index.php into loading a different copy of config.php.

Re: path_to_site not being updated

Okay, after you pointed me to config.php, I checked this file and here is the mistake – although I cannot explain how this work out…:

There is a line in the config.php that say:

$txpcfg[‘txpath’] = ‘/home/www/blabla/blabla/blabla/html/textpattern’;

I changed it to:

$txpcfg[‘txpath’] = ‘/home/www/blabla/blabla/blabla/html/michaelsremarks.org/textpattern’;

… and suddenly everything works out perfectly fine!
