Textpattern as CMS for a CORPORATE web site?

I wonder does it make sense to use Textpattern for a corporate web site? Are there any corporate sites out there build with Textpattern? Any templates?

It depends on your corporate needs.

I’ve seen corporate sites with just a few pages, and I’ve seen sites with 1000’s of pages. Maybe you can give us an idea of what you’re trying to accomplish and we can point you in the right direction.

As far as templates go, you can take an XHTML scheme and easily incorporate it into Textpattern.

I think it would well, although we would need a little more info on the features and things that you would want this corporate site to have. I am sure it is possible to do with TXP no problem. Are there certain feature that you know for sure you will need?

You might want to take a look at the current site: www.voicint.com . Would it be possible to build THIS site with Textpattern? Does anybody know a good Corporate template for Textpattern. Almost all templates seem to be blog oriented.

From the looks of the voicint site, yes. TXP is easily capable of managing such a site. What’s great about Textpattern is that it is really easy to put a TXP backend on your design. And you can be as elaborate or as simple as you like by using or ignoring a wealth of plugins.

It’s simple to learn and very capable once you get beyond the basics. Many people here have built sites with complex corporate site features like eNewsletters, event calendars, client login sections.

Don’t know if this helps.

Yes, it’s a very simple site.

Rather than look for a ready built template, why not use the current site’s style?

Save each page off with Firefox or your preferred browser, then just copy in the html and css to the Textpattern backend. Where dynamic content should go, enter in the text from your saved copy as articles. From the looks of it, it wouldn’t take that long once you’re up to speed on Textpattern.

Oh, if you want some nice templates:
