It works well, I’m not a fan of “mystery meat” navigation, though. (You don’t know what it is ‘til you’ve tried it….or hovered over it…)

I suppose there is the issue of accessibility, you don’t know what those individual letters do until you hover of them (currently nothing happens in IE for MAC when you do this). The audience for this site, however, is possible quite limited and the client likes the way it works. Possibly something to look at next time it needs updating.
