Sorry, it seems rss.php and atom.php (r2204) does not work

I khow, that is not a place to report about bugs. But I don’t khow how can I report another way.
So, when I installed new revision (2228) I saw that neither RSR feed no Atom does not work.

FF ask me to save unkhown file, and IE7 says that
“This feed contains code errors.
An invalid character was found in text content.
Line: 1 Character: 1”

Well, I’ve just replaced rss.php and atom.php with old ones (r 2062) and it solved problem.

I’m seeing the same thing (r2211), and probably am going to roll back later today or tonight as well. But for now, the problem can be seen here, or here.

Looks like binary data to me.

My diagnostics: Textpattern version: 4.0.4 (r2227)

The feeds seem fine, no problems in either Firefox or pulling the RSS feed with SimplePie onto another site.

What’s your production status? What happens when you set it to debugging?

Production status is live. When I switch to debugging, I get no tag errors, and see nothing odd in the tag trace. And I’m running no feed related plug-ins at all.

Me no coder, but I noticed r2204 had something to do with gzip compression on feeds. Since Textdrive runs compression on their servers, I wonder if that might have something to do with why Bert isn’t seeing it, but we are.

Yes.

Confirmed.

Re: Sorry, it seems rss.php and atom.php (r2204) does not work

I think there might be a simple error in r2204: @ob_start(‘ob_gzhandler’); is called twice in both rss.php and atom.php.

Reid and Bert, please try removing the second of those calls (the one after the echo $buf; line) and see if it helps.

Aha. That fixed it for me.

Did the trick for me, too. Thanks.
