Multiple if statements, possible?

I am trying to build a page that looks at a single article and renders it differently depending on what category it is in. I thought the txp:if_article_category tag would be useful but it seems you can’t double up on the else tags. Maybe I am arranging this wrong? If you can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.
