r2219: file_download_list sorting on created, modified, size
r2219 moves timestamps and file size into the database to allow sorting on those fields.
The existing timestamps should be copied into the database when you update to that rev. Testers, please check that they’re accurate, particularly after editing and re-saving a file.

I don’t see the columns in the admin files tab on either a new install or updating an existing one.
On an updated site I get Existing file: dropdown and create button above Upload file?

I don’t see the columns in the admin files tab on either a new install or updating an existing one.
I’ll clarify: sorting is now possible with the file_download_list tag on those columns. The columns aren’t listed in the admin UI.
The Existing File dropdown is something else entirely. Looks like it was added some time ago, in r1343.

excuse if inappropriate here but – on my ‘files’ wishlist – that sort option is #1 !
- is user ability to edit ‘date created’
- is a ‘replace file’ option
reasons being: files uploaded weekly (say newsletter) can be output simply on website using file_download_list with ‘posted’ providing the date … no need for associated articles, etc … but say newsletter comes out every Thursday, but one week it’s posted a day late – then user can change ‘posted’ for consistency in the archive … ‘replace file’ option comes into its own with – say – downloadable forms, which might be updated every so often (pricing change, etc)
