Help please Diagnostics Problem

Hello

I have just installed Txp on my server which went very smoothly and as i’m new to Txp i was checking out the Admin area. When i clicked on the Diagnostics link it produced the following error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: md5_file() in /home/***/textpattern/include/txp_diag.php on line 268

I have searched google and these forums with no results could someone please assist.

md5_file was introduced in PHP 4.2.0 (released early 2002). Textpattern’s minimum requirement is PHP4.3.+. You probably do not want to run a server with software that old.
