Problem with category links after following section

I am a newbie at text pattern so I apologise if this is a really stupid or basic question and I have missed the point.

I have created a couple of static pages following the tutorial on the textpattern.com web site. In my side bar I have created links to these. However, when I follow the link to ‘about’, when I try to link to the category articles, the url now includes the section as well and does not return any articles..

For example, from default or article page the category links shows as:

/index.php?c=code

but if I follow the About link (/index.php?s=about), then the category links then show as:

/index.php?s=about&c=code

Which ends up with a page with no articles in it..

Thanks for any pointers or guidance as to what I am doing wrong.

Re: Problem with category links after following section

By the way, this is the code that is used to output the category… If you need anything else, please let me know.

<txp:category wraptag=“li” link=1 title=1 name=“code” this_section=“1” />

Thanks

Re: Problem with category links after following section

Remove the this_section attribute.

Re: Problem with category links after following section

Hi Mary,

I have tried this but it doesn’t seem to correct the problem.

When on main page, the links are pointing at: index.php?c=code

But when on a section page, they still include the section in the link, eg,: /index.php?s=contact&c=code

Thanks again

Re: Problem with category links after following section

Ah yes, I forgot about this. Add:

section=""

It’s set to the current section by default, for backwards compatibility reasons.
