Bug in TXP 4.04 in Comments Preview?

In locationbar of the browser the anchor is #cprreview, but in preview comments is #c0. In the installation without plugins of OpenSourceCMS also happens, so it must be an error of version 4.04.

In locationbar of the browser the anchor is #cprreview… OpenSourceCMS also happens…

I can’t replicate this. I get directed to the expected url of:

http://demo.opensourcecms.com/textpattern/article/2/post-the-second#cpreview

Hi Mary,

It works correctly there as well, you are directed to:

http://textpattern.org/tips/735/section-and-category-pull-down-menus-part-ii#cpreview

The fact that you don’t actualy go anywhere in particular on the page means that the “comments_display” form needs correcting, that’s all.

Re: Bug in TXP 4.04 in Comments Preview?

That’s an anchor to your comment preview, not the form’s ID or action. That’s normal behavior. If there were a second comment, the ID would be #c01 or something.

In the HTML, you’ll find: <form id="txpCommentInputForm" method="post" action="/tips/735/section-and-category-pull-down-menus-part-ii#cpreview">

That’s a reference to #cpreview, but Textpattern.org doesn’t have an HTML element with an ID of cpreview (customizable in Textpattern>Presentation>Form>comments_form.

<div class="cfoot"><a href="http://textpattern.org/tips/735/section-and-category-pull-down-menus-part-ii#c0" id="c0"> is a “permlink” to your previewed comment – once you post it, it’ll be a similar id (different numbers though).

Does that make sense?
