how do i use this plugin ( Beginning )

hi guys am pretty new to textpattern …i love it….BUT i have been trying to show the excerpts on the front page with this Beginning plugin but i dont know or am not sure how to go about setting the code on my page template any help will be appreciated guys……basically i need help with plugins and how to place the code on the default page template

There is nothing to change in your page template. You put the plugin tag in your article form that is intended for your excerpt display.
So , if for instance, you use the same article form for excerpt and permlink display, you’d use that tag instead of the excerpt tag and wrap those in an if_article_list conditional.
Make sure also, that the plugin is enabled.
