mta_article_id
A plug-in I quickly whipped up the other day which adds an <txp:mta_article_id /> tag which is intended to be used as a replacement for the built-in <txp:article_id /> tag and extends it to optionally return the “URL title” instead of the numerical “id” of the article.
Example: <txp:mta_article_id url_title="1" />
Of course, I started researching how to do this in late November and the fact that there’s now a <txp:article_url_title /> tag in Textpattern 4.0.5 doesn’t appear to have been put in TextBook until around December 1st. So, it’s really already deprecated, but I kinda wish it had been implemented this way (keeping the number of tags down, but giving more options to use them).
Anyway, if anyone wants it you can download it here: mta_article_id-0.1.txt (see full description here). Otherwise, upgrade to Textpattern 4.0.5 (you should do this anyway) and you won’t need it.

The latest stable version of Textpattern is 4.0.4, so your plugin is still needed.
