Frustration/ thumbnails won't work

I have been going mad, I can’t get <txp:article_image thumbnail="1" /> to work so Installled Mary’s upm_image and it does not work at all. Yes I enabled the plugin too. txp:article_image works no problem but I have no idea what to do at this point.

Any suggestions would be of great help.

Are you creating a thumbnail image on the image screen when you upload your images?

yes, and that didnt work so i tried uploading a seperate thumbnail with the image. Neither work. Right now I am forcing a fullsize image to be the size of a thumbnail.

“Doesn’t work” tells us nothing about your problem.

the thumbnail doesn’t show up only the fullsize image hence the it “doesn’t work” as for upm_img the interface never showed up and the upm tags render nothing just blank content, not even empty tags. I will gladly post my diagnostics if you want.

You are running a version below 4.0.4, I suppose? This would fit to your symptoms…

Can you show in what context you’re using the article_image tag? (What does your article form look like, how are you calling the form on your page?)

the form is
<txp:permlink>

and I am calling it with

<txp:article_custom form="thumbs" limit="21" category="professional" />

Hate to beat things to death, but is that an article form (Type:article)?

correct it is set as an article type. the form was named thumbs

Sorry another dumb question… but did you assign the article image in the article section …

Did you try turning on debugging and looking on the trace … Is there somewhere where we can look?
