Comments options in Admin>Prefs do not display
As the title says, the comments options under Admin > Preferences > Basic do not display for me on one site – running 4.04 on TXD.
Strange, I see the prefs just fine in the database under txp_prefs…..
Repaired the tables in phpMyAdmin, also deleted all TXP files and re-installed…..

If you have comments turned off, those prefs don’t show up.

Hi Mary, actually the comments are turned on, so I don’t know why the comments prefs don’t show up.

Hm. Are you running any plugins? Does your High diagnostics report anything out of the ordinary? If you View Source, are the options really not there (perhaps try a second browser)?

View source – not there.
High level diagnostics – no problem.
Plugins:
zem_contact_reborn-4.0.3.18, zem_contact_lang-4.0.3.5m, ako_nav-1.0, upm_img_popper-1.3.2, upm_image-0.4.5, pap_contact_cleaner-0.1, wet_slimpattern-0.1, ob1_googlenav-2.0m
Its on TXD, and all the other sites I have on TXD running 4.04 are ok.
Strange, huh?
Edit: Tried in Firefox too, same thing. Main browser is Safari.

The problem can be replicated and has been fixed in svn. It’s caused by a typo, and it is strange, as this bug has actually been around for a very long time, but only seems to affect some people and not others (hence why it has gone undetected).
Here’s the line that needs to be corrected, so you can get at your prefs until the next maintenaince release. :)
