after installation: Could not log in with that name/password
I installed textpattern 4.04 at a hosted server at OVH in France. (“90Plan”)
Database is mysql5.
After finetuning the .htaccess I was able to go through the installation.
But the first login to textpattern failed: Error message “Could not log in with that name/password”.
When going to my url (without /textpattern), the default text in the textpattern installation is shown, but without the correct style sheets. Just basic html without any style.
I checked the database with phpMyAdmin and found the table with the user data empty. Most other of the 17 tables had records which looked fine. So I entered manually the fields user-id (=‘1’), name, pass, real name, email. The other fields I left empty, as I have no idea what to put into privs, last access and nonce.
As could be expected, this did not help.
Question: How to get the database correctly populated during installation?
Thanks in advance!

Re: after installation: Could not log in with that name/password
Obviously, installation failed. I’d suggest wiping the tables and re-trying the install.

Thanks, Mary. I erased everything and restarted the installation. This time everything is fine!
