detect and style author comments...

wish there was a way to do this, that didn’t require me to hack into the code, although fairly easy…

basically would to see like another class tag that gets set for author “authorclass” or something of the sort …

There is a plugin for that: ajw_comment_alt.

Actually, ajw_if_comment_owner will output an author class for you.

thanks…. i was staying away from plugins ;) … but plugins are better than hacking i guess… well it ever be part of standard build
