noshade attribute v4.0.4
The default lofi article form contains the following html tag with a noshade and size attribute.
<hr size="1" noshade="noshade" />
What is that ? I’ve never heard of such a thing.
Those seem to be deprecated attributes for HTML 4.01 and would lead to invalidation.
Wouldn’t it make sense to throw these out ?
This is in version 4.0.4
regards, marios

Re: noshade attribute v4.0.4
It makes the <hr> flat, like border-bottom: 1px solid #000;, versus somewhat 3D. Some examples are here (or if you disable styles on the forum, a “3D” hr is used for signatures).

Re: noshade attribute v4.0.4
What I meant is inside a preinstalled default form of TXP version 4.0.4 you will find this tag inside the form lofi.
I’d have posted this to the Bug Reports, but there isn’t such a forum anymore.
TXP uses XHTML, and therefore such old proprietary HTML (deprecated) would lead to invalidation, in the case, that someone uses this form.

Oh, durr…Sorry, I’m writing (and procrastinating) a term paper – my reading skills are terrible right now :).
It should definitely be removed. Kinda related: Do many people use the lofi form with their out of the box template?

It’s not invalid in the default template, because that template is also using a transitional doctype.

Agreed. But some people like to put their doctype to strict, so they can build up good coding habits, to get up to date for tomorrow’s demands.
@mary, here is another questions.
The popup_comments form contains this tag:
<txp:popup_comments />
The tag don’t seem to be documented in the documentation
(deprecated or not ?)
