One thing I miss in the new version is the syntax coloring for html included in the bundle…

perhaps I downloaded the wrong thing or didnt set it up as intended..

What Theme do you have selected in the Theme Editor ?

A) One reason, why that might be, is, that you have the old Texari Theme installed.
B) Another reason, is you lack the required XHTML Bundle that is included in the download.

For A:

Throw your old Theme to the garbage, go to prefs>fonts and colors.
From the drop down selection at the Bottom, select: Edit theme list.
This will open another cocoa selection list.
Select the Texari Theme, and then press the minus symbol.
Dismiss the prefs
Take the Theme, that was included in the download package.
Double click on it, and confirm the Update dialog.
After that, select Texari again from Theme Editor.

For B:

Double click on the XHTML BUNDLE, that was included in the download to install it, (in case you don’t have it)

Make sure, you are in TXP scope, right next to the left of the Gear Icon on the Bottom Toolbar you must see:
L Textpattern v0.7 beta.

Also make sure, you are running on Cutting Edge.

If this is not the case, you have on older Bundle version installed.

Let me know, if this didn’t do.

( If the above is not the case, and you have the same symptom, then it could be some weird UUID stuff, that I didn’t take care off. I am going to test for this from a different User account this weekend .)

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

The help command might not be callable from the Bundle’s own Support Folder.
I’ll check that over the weekend.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

Everything works, if you follow the Setup instructions, including calling the Help documentation.
Selecting the proper Theme and TXP Language and instaling the XHTML Bundle if needed.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

I found another thing , that doesn’t work:

The Go to TXP file command will not work as expected, if the Root Folder of the Site is on a Network volume (smb/cifs) in my case.
It will open the file in a new Document Window instead.

I’ll try to fix that for the next maintenance release.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

marios,

Is there any way you can package this so I can unzip it on a Windows machine?

I’d like to take a look at what you’ve done but the way you named some of the files, well, things kinda freak out.

Thanks.

Yes, I know. It’s intended for MAC OS, that’s why:))

Which files won’t open ?

It freaks out on the info.plist files and none of the tmsnippets get extracted. But never mind, I got it unzipped on my Debian machine, though looking at it from a Windows box is not an option. I’ll just look at on the Linux box, just wanted to see how you put together the bundle.

You put a lot of work into this, have you announced it on Textmate related forums?

Seems, like windows doesn’t understand xml.

and none of the tmsnippets get extracted.

( I think, it is a limitation to the max amount of digits of the file extension under windows 32bit platforms , .tmSnippets has 9 characters from what I remember)

But never mind, I got it unzipped on my Debian machine, though looking at it from a Windows box is not an option. I’ll just look at on the Linux box, just wanted to see how you put together the bundle.

It only makes sense to look at it from MAC OS. It’s pretty much proprietary .

By the way, you might be interested in this
Although, I don’t believe, that it will ever be the same.

(TextMate is in complete harmony with CoCoa , Ruby and the underliing Shell, and will surpass by excellence about any clones or derivates for many years to come.)

There is no forum, but it’s on Allan Odgaards Blog

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

Do you plan on adding it to the bundle repository? That way we could manage it using the Get Bundle bundle. Not sure how one goes about getting bundles in the repo.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

@hakjoon, currently the interest for that has been low.

( Divide TM Users by the number of TXP Users = not much )
The major problem is, that once it is in the repository, it has to keep up with the speed of improvement, that for those Bundles implies.
( Running behind cutting Edge rv numbers )

A lot of stuff also is ported towards Ruby these days, while here it uses mostly some simple Bash Syntax.
It’s probably not going to happen any time soon.

( I could ask Alan though, wether that makes sense or not, once he gets back from New-Zealand )

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

It’s not a huge deal I was just curious. There are some pretty specialized bundles in the repo (mediawiki, twiki, docuwiki, Symphony) It seems like TXP would fit and it would get some more exposure.

I just think you did a great job and it should be out there.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

@hakjoon, thanks for your positive feedback.
I’ll try to get it up to date in the meanwhile and see what can be done about it.

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

This is a maintenence release(v08) for the Textpattern Bundle:

See original thread for download and details.

It fixes a couple of syntax Errors, both in Snippets/Commands/Macros and in the Language Grammar as well.

The most important changes are:

  • Added pseudo support for category container tags. ( That also means, that you can trigger a compound single/container tag with ctrl shift right arrow, just like with a plugintag. Special Return is not supported for these, so leave all category container tags on one line, for easier maintenance. )
  • Fixed a couple of wrong scopes
  • Added missing tags and tagattributes
  • compound article snippet syntax fix
  • Updated completion prefs array
  • Reassignment of keybord shortcuts. Take a look in the menu-structure column, to understand what has changed.
    • This last change was necessary, to avoid conflicts with other Bundle Items and fix a couple of convention errors, as oulined here.

There is also a new, theme. It is not cloned on top of the twilight theme, but build from the ground up.
It is not that pretty maybe(no transparency) , but much cleaner and simplified.

I haven’t done any extended testing. Give it a try, if you wish.

regards, marios

Re: A textpattern bundle for TextMate beta version

Could be possible.

It relies on these dependencies (Cygwin)

I suspect half of the things would not work.

What about project handling ? Some of the advanved commands rely on a specific File and Folderstructure be persistent in the project drawer

I suppose one would want to make a stripped down version of the Bundle.

Another possible alternative
( I’ve used this recently on XP for some basic things )
