Data Dictionary
Wondering is there’s a data dictionary floating around with descriptions of each of the Textpattern tables and fields.
Thanks.

Re: Data Dictionary
No there isn’t. I was making one, but I forgot about it. Oops. ;D I’ll try and get that going again.

Re: Data Dictionary
Well, here’s a starting point – I used the Data Dictionary from phpMyadmin and massaged it for my Wiki. You can do a Show pagesource, bottom left, and use it as a basis for Textbook. Though the table syntax is different between DokuWiki and MediaWiki, they’re close enough.
I have a question, why does every table have txp_ except textpattern? I would of thought it would be called txp_article to follow the same scheme.

Re: Data Dictionary
You’d have to ask Dean on the whys of the table naming. I’d always wondered why have “txp_” ‘cuz that makes more sense as the optional table prefix.

Yeah, I remember the first time I installed Textpattern and gave it a txp_ prefix, then all the tables were txp_txp_*, looked kind of silly.
On domains where I install more than one app and I use one database for it, I like a table prefix to distinguish the apps, like pun_ for PunBB. Helps keep everything in order and you run into less confusion managing the database.
Going forward, I’d like to see the textpattern table fall in line with the others, I’ll have to look at the code and see what it entails.
