maximum file upload size - hack required?

i was trying to set my maximum file upload size to 15000000 today – the result was
2097152.

Does that mean i have to hack a new max into the source files somewhere, and if so: where?

Re: maximum file upload size - hack required?

I assume you mean you went to admin > preferences > advanced … “Max Upload File Size (bytes)” and set a higher limit, but it still doesn’t work? I seem to recall that my host had to change something in their php.ini to increase the limit server-wide.

Re: maximum file upload size - hack required?

well. as i am controlling my virtual server account myself i can usually set any limit i want. since that is not the case with txp 4.0.4 over here i sorta complain. :)
only sort of: i am quite happy with txp.

edit: right! i did it the way you said – and: lemme check…
what would you change in your server prefs (and how) to change an upload file size limit?

Re: maximum file upload size - hack required?

Check your php.ini for
  • post_max_size
  • upload_max_filesize
  • memory_limit

In Apache (at least in 1.3.x) there was “limitrequestbody”. If that’s the fault you shouldn’t get any errors until Apache thinks the file uploaded is too big.

If I recall correctly. I just woke up.
