author field garbled after upgrade

I just upgraded my TXP version over at Textdrive & everything seems to be working except that the author field next to each post’s title reads: “M j, g:ia” (w/o the quotes) instead of my name. Any suggestions?

Re: author field garbled after upgrade

What was the old TXP version and what is the new TXP version?
Can you post the full diagnostics here or at least the part that shows the charset information?

The old version was 1.0 something rc. Very old.

Re: author field garbled after upgrade

That looks like a date string. Could you post a tag trace please?

Re: author field garbled after upgrade

Oh, crap. You’re right. That is the date. I have stared at the thing so long I don’t even see it anymore. But when I follow the instructions you link to, I don’t find and tag trace in the html. You can see the page at chujoe.net. Thanks, though.

Did you change your production mode to debugging?

Re: author field garbled after upgrade

Did that & found the code, but in doing it realized that Production Mode was set to Testing. Once I changed it to Live the date string displayed perfectly. Thanks, so much, Mary, for your time & helpful responses.

Later: I was just looking at the explanation of the Production Mode settings. Does the fact that the strange string appeared in Testing mode mean there is a problem on my template. I haven’t looked at the template in ages & when I did just now I only found this code:

<txp:article limit=“10” />

<center><txp:newer>Newer</txp:newer> <txp:older>Older</txp:older></center>
