txp_lang.MYI gets corrupt
Over the last few months I’ve noticed from forum threads, that this table’s index gets corrupt whenever there’s a server crash. Most of those threads are marked as closed and resolved.
Today my VPS went down, I had to go into every Textpattern install and repair the txp_lang file in order to get rid of the error message from the admin section. Every other table was fine, as was every other table in every database I have, running other CMS, Forum and Gallery software.
I know that this a hosting issue which can easily be remedied with a repair but I’m just wondering why this happened on every single 4.0.4 install that I had. Could this be something that can be remedied in a future Textpattern release?

It’s because the table is set to delay key writes. The mysql-documentaton for that now (but not back when I added this IIRC) reflects that when that feature is used automatic checking of tables should be enabled as well upon (re-)starting the server. Since we can’t guarantuee the latter, yes, I’ll make sure we remove this.
