Admin > Preferences > Manage Languages doesn't connect to remote serve
I have problems installing a new 4.0.4 textpattern-site.
Everything else seems to work well, but “Manage Languages” doesn’t work.
Error message: Can’t connect to remote server …
I managed to install a german textfile manually. But of course I want to know what’s happening.
I remember there was the same problem in another site, but I absolutely don’t remember how it was solved (I think it disappeared together with another error).
Interesting point: My txp-4.0.3-site in the same place also doesn’t connect to the remote server.
What should I do?

The error means what it says: Textpattern can’t connect to the remote (language) server to download language updates.
Either it’s a transient network problem, in which case it’ll suddenly start working again; or your server blocks outgoing connections, and you’ll need to talk to your hosting company.
