Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg()
I’ve just migrated a site I developed in TXP 4.04 on my own server, to a clients, but I’m getting errors when trying to upload images.
“Call to undefined function imagecreatefromjpeg() “
I checked the GD library and it all looks good:
gd
GD Support enabled
GD Version 2.0 or higher
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.1.7
T1Lib Support enabled
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
It ran fine on my server, but not on the clients. Does anyone have any ideas what could be up?

I don’t think so, as jpeg support is enabled. I’ve checked with the host (could be a while before I get a reply), but I wanted to check whether it was TXP thing. Doing a search of the forums here only came up with an instance using Albumpattern, but that solution wasn’t applicable in my situation.

TextDrive hosted by any chance? A server upgrade seems to have broken PHP’s GD library.

No, something in Holland run by the clients themselves sadly! It does sound like a GD problem though doesn’t it?

The PHP imagecreatefromjpeg function should be available if GD is correctly installed. It’s possible that the phpinfo output you’re looking at is produced by a different version of PHP than the one that is running Textpattern. Or the function might have been disabled in php.ini – you should see a message in txp diagnostics if that’s the case.

Tried again last night, and now its intermittent, so it surely has to be a server issue. Thanks Zem, I’ll chase the admin people again.
