Help creating gallery with categories/subcategories
Hey all, I need to create an image gallery section on a client site that outputs categories of images (with a random thumbnail from that category) and then links to a gallery of all images in that category.

Can someone point me in the right direction as far as plug-ins to use? I currently have rss_thumbpop installed, which somewhat does what I need but not quite. The site that I have referenced above is exactly what I need to do.
I appreciate any help that you guys can offer!

Well, after a little further work, I am still not able to get my image galleries to perform as needed. I am sure there is a plug-in or two out there that I need that I just haven’t found yet. Anyone have any suggestions to do what I outlined above?

I would try using glx_if (if_section_frontpage) in combination with if_category.

I think agaly-imagi uses a modified version of that called prad_image_index. Alexandra profiled it earlier this year.
