e mail comment notification
I’ve had a quick search for this, but can’t find anything.
MovableType has got a cool feature (plug in?) where you get e mailed (notified) with every new comment.
Its very useful.
Anyone know of a txp plug in that does this, or anyone working on one?

Uh, Textpattern already does this. Look in admin prefs.

What about enabling a checkbox where the commenter gets emailed when new comments are posted (sort of an RSS for comments, but email instead?)

That depends – there were two different things being discussed here.
- Getting notified when someone comments on your article. That’s built-in.
- Allowing visitors to signup to be notified when someone comments on your article. That would require a plugin.
As far as I know, the plugin doesn’t yet exist.

As is stated in the thread PostMaster does not do this. There is a breakdown of what is required here , but it seems we still need someone to write that plugin. I would also love it and can’t quite understand that no one has made one yet.
Would love some txp code wizzard to turn this around.. On another note I can’t understand that there is not a moblog plugin either. Send email and pic from camera phone and get it posted on site…. both are rather high on my wishlist.
