txp:category_list ordering
Ability to order txp:category_list. It’s presented alphabetically at the moment which isn’t always what’s needed. The option to have them ordered in the order entered would be useful.

Thanks, I somehow missed that when I looked earlier.
But the problem is a client would need to go and edit the tag after adding a new category. I was looking for a way that a client could simply add a new category when needed and it would show up at the bottom of a link list.

So you would end with:
- a presorted list as the site starts
- plus additional categories as the site grows?
In that case, the sort order would be somehow determined by the point in time at which the new category was added to the list, right?
Looks like you would have to spend a little more time defining the exact requirements for your sorting requirements, otherwise it would even be hard to implement any functionality as a plugin.

Exactly. If a plugin existed that is all I’d want, but other people might have other ideas.
Personally I think default sort order of the tag be more natural if it added new categories to the bottom of the list rather than sorting them in alphabetical order. Maybe I’ll try a hack with my poor PHP skills.
