4.0.2. upgrade gets fatal error

After the upgrade, which I was sure I followed correctly http://onionboy.ca gets

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: txp_status_header() in /users/home/onionboy/public_html/textpattern/publish.php on line 43

I have the password and username saved so my textpattern login loads automatically. After the upgrade I was taken automatically to the Preferences tab where English (GB) is highlighted and that’s correct, it is my language prefernce. I clicked the update button and it the status bar showed “Done”
However, from that point none of the tabs opens its appropriate section. I guess I just don’t do this simple upgrade simply. I was upgrading from 4.0.1

Re: 4.0.2. upgrade gets fatal error

You didn’t upload all of Textpattern’s files when you upgraded. Make sure you get all the subdirectories.

FAQ: Fatal error: Call to undefined function...

Re: 4.0.2. upgrade gets fatal error

All is well, except that I feel exceptionally stupid. I uploaded the root directory files and those in the Textpattern folder and thought and stupidly neglected to bring over any of the other folders. I’ve done that now and everything is fine.

Re: 4.0.2. upgrade gets fatal error

I’ve got a similar problem with my site. Server returns an error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: txp_status_header() in /home/mysitefolder/http/textpattern/publish.php on line 44

By now my site runs txp 4.0.3, and i’m planing the upgrade soon, but i think the problem is not in the textpattern’s code or version. I’m quite sure the problem is with my host provider, but i can’t understand what causes this problem. The error sometimes disappear after refreshing the page several times, buth than returns again. I’ve chacked the files, they are on their places and untuched, so i have no idea what causes the problem…
Just now checked again, the error still present and when i enter admin panel it shows another error (haven’t seen it before: Notice: Use of undefined constant TXP_DEBUG – assumed ‘TXP_DEBUG’ in /home/244405/http/textpattern/lib/txplib_db.php on line 50 – about twenty lines and Notice: Use of undefined constant DS – assumed ‘DS’ in /home/244405/http/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on line 969 – 3 lines).
I didn’t perform any upgrade since i installed txp 4.0.3.
I quite sure the problem is with host-provider, but i don’t know what exactly.
I’ve chacked the FAQ, I’ve searched the forum- have no answer found.
Any thoughts?

Re: 4.0.2. upgrade gets fatal error

You are likely missing one or more Textpattern files or perhaps they have become corrupted. Compare them to the .zip file, and re-upload any offenders.
