newbie - article association question
Wide-eyed textpattern newbie here, I’m wondering if anyone can help me envision how this would work:
Say I have two sections, “Calendar” and “Archive”
What I’m shooting for is to be able to optionally associate a Calendar article with a Archive article. As well as optionally associating a Archive article with multiple Calendar articles.
There would be a “one to many” relationship between articles posted in either section. It would be ideal for these to be represented through the RSS/Atom feeds, so I can enable some plugin-viewer ideas I have.
Is this just a matter of creating custom fields for the articles and “linking” variables to other articles? Is there a cleaner or better way to go about this?
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: newbie - article association question
Categories (<txp:link_feed />
has a ‘category’ attribute), custom fields, or tags?

Thanks Els
that short reponse actually helps me a good amount – weighing out the options.
Looks like it’s using custom fields with encoding arrays of calendar posts into a string.
