How to re-enable expired comments?
I’ve just upgraded to 4.04 which went seamless.
But there is one question: In versions prior to 4.04 it was possible to reenable comments for articles after they were expired (via admin -> options) which could be useful if a discussion takes longer than two weeks.
Version 4.04 doesn’t allow to switch to enabled comments and just displays “expired” which is useless.
Thanks for help,
Eric

I’m really not sure what you’re talking about. Nothing about this changed. ?

If you have comments set to disable after X weeks, it was definitely not possible to turn them back on without disabing comment expiration totally. I know this for a fact, because I would have liked to have this feature quite a while ago, and looked into the changes in UI, code and DB necessary to make that happen and decided it wasn’t worth it for a maintenance release. You may have reset the pubish-date accidently when reenabling coments, that would have worked.

Okay, probably my mind is cheating on me.
But then I’d like to see that feature for version 4.1… Probably I can figue it out and contribute a solution myself.
