variable not passing from search input

Hello, I cannot seem to get a ‘section name’ variable to pass when searching. I can type the variable in the url and everything works, but cannot seem to pass the variable from the search input. I’m using…
<code><txp:search_input section=“recordlabels” /></code>
and ‘recordlabels’ is the appropriate section, but always reverts to home for the search. Any help? Thanks a buttload.

Re: variable not passing from search input

Question: do you happen to have a form named “search_input”?

Re: variable not passing from search input

Okay, next question: what is the output for your tag? (If you “View Source” in your browser, what does <txp:search_input section="recordlabels" /> spit out?)

Re: variable not passing from search input

it spits out…
<code><form action=”(mydomain)/index.php?s=recordlabels” method=“get”><p>Search<br /><input type=“text” name=“q” value=”“ size=“15” /></p></form></code>

Re: variable not passing from search input

The output is correct then. That doesn’t direct you to (yourdomain)/index.php?s=recordlabels?

Re: variable not passing from search input

If you are on 4.0.4: do you see any messages on your homepage when you enable debugging mode?

Otherwise: Do you have an article_tag on your home-page or are you only using article_custom?

Re: variable not passing from search input

I am not even using my home-page right now. Theres a txp: article tag on the home but all that is commented out at the moment.

Re: variable not passing from search input

When you do the search, are you directed to the url “(yourdomain)/index.php?s=recordlabels”, and, do you have an article tag on your page for your “recordlabels” section?
