Capitalisation of Section Name

Under certain circumstances the capitalisation of the section name seems to change.

For example, when I use http://sitename/section the section name is not capitalised.

For example, when I use http://sitename/section/article the section name is capitalised.

In the section settings, both the section title and section name have been created with capitals!

Is there any way to force capitalisation? (And should this happen in the first place?)

Re: Capitalisation of Section Name

Section names are supposed to be lowercase, they are only used internally and for urls. Titles are provided for making the names human-friendly (with capitalization, punctuation marks, etc).
