4.0.4: New Comments appear only after refreshing several times
Strange problem here after upgrading. New Comments on articles are in some kind of unstable state. I get an email notification, click on the permalink to that article and the comment is not there. I reload the page twice and it magically appears. Is this some kind of spam filter? I got an email from one of my readers who complaint about this, so this is not a problem with my browser or something.
Do I have to switch of something somewhere?
BTW: Great job on 4.0.4, looks good, feels good!

There is no built-in spam control that does this. IIRC somebody wrote a plugin that does that, but I can’t remember if that was for textpattern or something else. Do you have Send Last-Modified header turned on?
I just went to your site and posted a comment and it showed up right away.

Well, I will watch this problem and maybe I’ll find a behaviour pattern for this…

Seems to me indeed a problem with the modified header: before I turned it off not only the stylesheets didn’t upgrade but also articles, which I reset to “draft” didn’t disappear. I often had to clear the cache to get changes. I’ve followed this advice and it works now.
