TXP 4.0.4: txp:section_list and sort order
With two recent TXP deployments necessitating a sorted section list, the ability to specify the order was one of the first things I checked when upgrading to 4.0.4.
This is the tag I’m using:
<code><txp:section_list wraptag=“ul” section=“about,news,collections,feeds,contact” include_default=“1” section_title=“Home” break=“li” /></code>
The list is not shown in that order, however. It’s shown alphabetically as…
- About
- Collections
- Contact
- Feeds
- News
Also, the wiki suggests that adding the value for section_title will include default with that title. That doesn’t appear to work, either. The default is included, but with the site title.
What’d I forget? :)

Re: TXP 4.0.4: txp:section_list and sort order
I don’t see section_title as an attribute, I do see default_title which if not specified returns the sitename by default, if you set it this way ( default_title=“default” ) it displays “default” as the section name; if I understand you correctly.
I’m not sure what to tell you about the sort order, I can’t find a way to change or specify it as different than alphabetical.

Re: TXP 4.0.4: txp:section_list and sort order
First, it is default_title, not section_title. Secondly, the attribute is sections not section (with an “s”).
Does it work after those corrections?

Yep. Correct attributes make all the difference. Thanks, Mary!
@rsilletti: Txs 2u2. You can specify the sort order by listing them in section*s* in the order you want them displayed.
