Is there a basic slideshow plugin?

Is there a slideshow plugin that is just a basic slideshow with forward and back arrows? I saw one where one image fades to the next, but it doesn’t work properly in my browser (Firefox /mac – it does sort of a skip before each picture) so I don’t want to use that one. I am trying to incorporate it into an existing site tht has just a plain javascript slideshow and am looking for something similar.
