update button
I tested the update button today which – for the first time – worked as expected. But the shown message sounds a little bit strange:
There is an updated version of this Textpattern branch available.
Is it really important for the user to know something about the development branch. There is either an update for his version or not :)
I think it would be more helpful to have a link to the download page. Something like:
There is an updated version available. Please go to download page to get the new version. Detailed information on how to update are available at …
Further more it would be helpful if this message could be shown on the top of the page. Everytime I click the button the page gets reloaded and I have to scroll down again to see the message.

It’s stating the difference between a maintenance and full version upgrade, I believe.

Ah! Well, that makes sence :)
Nevertheless some linguistic adjustments may be helpful just like the download link supplement.
