Some Textpattern files have been modified error message

Have just installed Txp 4.0.4 as a clean install (for a new website) and am getting this error message in Diagnostics

Some Textpattern files have been modified: /include/txp_image.php,
/lib/class.thumb.php

Can someone explain what’s gone wrong here. As far as I know these files have not been changed. I uploaded directly using Filezilla.

Thanks for your help and insight…

Re: Some Textpattern files have been modified error message

I just upgraded a site from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 and have the same problem. I get the following two messages in diagnostics:

Some Textpattern files have been modified: /include/txp_image.php, /lib/class.thumb.php
Clean URL test failed.

I now get a 400 server error when trying to view the site. 1and1 is the host, and I also use Filezilla to directly upload. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bret

Re: Some Textpattern files have been modified error message

Some Textpattern files have been modified: /include/txp_image.php, /lib/class.thumb.php

This is nothing to worry about. Some file-transfer programs modify line-endings during upload. Those two files have some lines with different line-endings that get “fixed” by the transfer program. This change only affects the diagnostic-checks, but doesn’t affect the proper functioning of textpattern itself.

@Bret: Your second problem is unrelated. You had probably made changes/tweaks to your old .htaccess file, that you have to again redo in the new .htaccess file (or you can swap in the old .htaccess file, there have not been relevant changes during the update). Please open a different topic, if you need further assistance on this issue.

Re: Some Textpattern files have been modified error message

Ah…I forgot the .htaccess modification I had to make to get it to work with 1and1. Thanks for the swift help…
