Have a look at the <a href=“http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=13416”>zem_contact_reborn plugin</a>, which integrates very nicely in Textpattern and handles forms really well.

Any script that relies upon register_globals being on should not be used, and I recommend you turn them off.

That said, Textpattern shouldn’t be interfering with it at all, because it is an existing file. We’d really need to see the script to know what the problem is.
