file size too big

Hi,

i have awva file thats 26.8mb in size. Im trying to upload it but it seems to be taking rather a long time. The progress bar gets to about halfway and then stops. Ive left it for about 3/4 of an hour and its still not uploaded. Is this usual or is there someting wrong. My upload limit is set to 2000000.

Your file is much bigger than your upload limit. Give up on that approach. Instead, FTP the file to your files folder, then go to your files tab and there should be a new dropdown that will help Textpattern “claim” the file. :)

Thanks that worked a treat. Any chance you could point me in the right direction of increasing my max upload limit. is it a matter of upping it in advanced prefs or is there someting to do with php.ini aswell?

I wouldn’t increase it to that size (or larger) anyway, that’s probably not a good idea.
