Cross section excerpt plugin
Is there a plugin that would allow to publish on the frontpage/default page an excerpt of the latest article from a specific section ?
So far, excerpts tags or plugins I have come across don’t let you specify a section and I assume only work internally from within a section.

Could you use <txp:article_custom form="special_excerpt" limit="1" section="yoursection" /> and then form: <samp>special_excerpt</samp> (type: article): <txp:title /><txp:excerpt />
