Replace image

I tried to replace an image today, running r1864.

Images are 0644, owned by www-data – the Apache process and are being saved to disk just fine.

I tried to replace an image in the database with a completely different one. It didn’t replace the image, just sort of squashed the existing one to the dimensions of the new one. Then I decided to just upload the original and it rotated it 90 degrees. It’s a bike picture, so the bike is now pointing up with the wheels on the right side.

Maybe I just need clarification on image replacement and how it’s supposed to work.

Re: Replace image

Is that rotation problem reproducable or did it just happen once?
If you can reproduce, can you upload the image somewhere on a website (not through TXP) for closer examination? Could it be that this image as you see it now (rotated 90 degrees) is how it was originally shot?

Re: Replace image

The image was replaced. However your browser had cached the original image. Whe you force-refresh, the new image shows up.

Re: Replace image

Sorry ruud, my mistake.

I grabbed the image on disk that was labeled with the same name of the image that was in the admin, Schwinn_Moab_150x91.jpg. The image I grabbed was in fact rotated, it’s dimensions were 91×144, I must of rotated it correctly before bringing it in and never saved it back off to disk or something along those lines. I went back through this mornings backups and confirmed my mistake.

Image replacement is working fine, I’ve replaced the same image multiple times, it uploads it and builds the new thumbnail as per the advanced preference settings.
