CSS/HTML issue, but can't figure it out
My site: <a href=“http://www.kentuckygolfing.com”>www.kentuckygolfing.com</a> (which looks the same now in both IE and FF)
The areas in question: <a href=“http://www.kentuckygolfing.com/article/this-is-another-test”>http://www.kentuckygolfing.com/article/this-is-another-test</a> and <a href=“http://www.kentuckygolfing.com/courses/andover-golf-country-club”>http://www.kentuckygolfing.com/courses/andover-golf-country-club</a>
In FF they are fine (as usual), but IE you can see the problem right off I’m sure. The middle column content is pushed right about 10px, and as a result of that happening, the Navigation Menu has no room so is dropped down below the content on the left column.
I’ve looked and looked and I can’t find the problem. I’ve tried to be aware of the box model and watching my padding and margins on elements, but I could have made a mistake, I just can’t seem to pinpoint it. It’s got to be some element that’s added to those two pages like the comments or the course detailed information because as you can see the homepage is perfectly fine but those other pages (using same stylesheet and html layout) are not fine.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Try changing the width of #rightcontent to 160px in your IE stylesheet.

Re: CSS/HTML issue, but can't figure it out
Thanks! That made it look somewhat presentable on one of the two pages that was in question, but didn’t solve the actual problem. On those two pages in question, the middle content is being pushed right by something, which in turn is making the nav menu jump down also.
Any other ideas maybe? I can’t see any extra width, padding, or margins in there that would be causing this to happen but I very well could be overlooking it too.
Thanks

Hi deronsizemore,
some steps that may help:
- validate your XHTML and CSS.
- try removing margins and paddings from main elements in our layout (I have read the advice that margins and paddings in main elements layout should be avoided to avoid headaches)

Maniqui:
Thanks…I haven’t validated since I made some changes (although everything was fine two days ago). I’ll do that first.
As for the margins and padding, unless I’m missing some, there should no be any on main elements as I’ve already had to many headaches with prior layouts. I know how much they can mess things up.
I’ll validate and see what they tells me (hopefully something)
