Install Problems

Hello,

I’m new to TextPattern, I ‘ve used it before though this is my first install.

I’ve tried installing clean three times, and each time I get the same errors.

After the page that says “Thank you. You are about to create and populate database tables,” I get the following:

1. Unknown table ‘txp1_textpattern’ in information_schema
2. Unknown table ‘txp1_textpattern’ in information_schema
3. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
4. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
5. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
6. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
7. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
8. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
9. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
10. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
11. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
12. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_category’ in information_schema
13. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_css’ in information_schema
14. Unknown table ‘txp1_txp_css’ in information_schema

There were 135 errors during the installation. You can ask for help in the Textpattern forums.

(it goes on to list 135 tables that apparently could not be created… i’m not going to list the entire output here.)

I really know very little about SQL and how it works. It seems there’s some kind of configuration I’m missing here…

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Have you made sure, that the mysql-user you are using has the necessary privileges to create tables?

I can go into my sites control panel open up the database and create a new table, so, yes I think so. I’m also new to SQL though

I just refreshed the setup page and it says “Looks like textpattern is already installed”

I had to set all privileges for the user in the database and do a clean install. Now it works a treat,
