[issue] wrong importing from movable type

Well, I have used the import tab, choosing Mysql database.

The result of the import is that the tildes (á, é, é, ó ú) are now “?”. And the categories, have no name, I mean, you can see the box, but not the name (in the organize tab), and in article tab, the post are asigned to categories with a number, not the name that theses categories had in Movable Type Version (2.64).

What can I do?

Are you importing from a file or direct from a database?

Can you provide us with a copy of the import data for testing?

I am importing direct from a MySQL database.

What I mean is: the Textpattern developers know very little about the Movable Type database, because it’s undocumented and can change without warning. You’ve probably found one of these changes. If we’re to fix it, we need a copy of your MT database (or, preferrably, any MT database that demonstrates the problem).
