Re: Forum Re-Designed

Thanks to who (whom?!) ever added ID to categories block. That finishes the tidy up AFAIC. Files in OP updated.

P.S. uli, I think your “oooh, hmmm, aah” is the correct answer for IE5/Mac support. ;)

Re: Forum Re-Designed

small wonder! you 1 seems to be 2 to earn your income ;))

i depend on that old mac. compared to the last pimped mozilla available for macOS9, ie5 renders most sites faster by 10. SUP-PORT IT!! :))

Re: Forum Re-Designed

Thanks, macgyver. :)

Hi Alex,

To reinstate international block, remove ’#idw5’.

P.S. For anyone who likes this forum makeover, I’ve nearly finished a similar makeover for Txp admin – I’ll wait until 4.0.4 is released before releasing my CSS.

Re: Forum Re-Designed

Hi David,
thanks, works fine now :) you set it to display none, i already thought so… oh these ignorant english/american folks :P

however: for Opera users here is the guide on how to attach Davids stylesheet, wich i highly recommend:

  1. press F12
  2. click on ‘pagewide settings…’ (last point in the list)
  3. select ‘Display’
  4. select Davids stylesheet (must be stored somewhere on your harddrive)
  5. restart your computer

Re: Forum Re-Designed

Update to display ‘Quick Links’ drop-down. There’s one annoying gremlin I can’t figure out – the dropdown is missing the little ‘down’ arrow graphic. It works fine on my local copy and in Opera, but not the online forum in Firefox (grrr). Regardless, the dropdown selector works OK. If anyone can spot it – feel free to shout. :)

Also forced scrollbars to stop ‘jumping’ when moving from pages with less than / more than full screen of content.

It’s working here in FF, little down arrow and all :)

Re: Forum Re-Designed

Wwwweird. No little arrow here. Cleared cache, etc. I don’t like computers. ;)

Re: Forum Re-Designed

Arrow here :) (Opera 9)

@David
just another question: can i switch all international forums to display none except for germany, france, italy and spain?
(i know i can find out myself but i am not so familiar with this very comprehensive forum stylesheet. )

Just a sidenote for Opera users: i definately have to restart my pc to get Opera to display the new style version. Refreshing site or emptying cache does NOT help.

Re: Forum Re-Designed

alexandra, no – it’s all international or none. This was discussed briefly further up the thread.

Curious, I didn’t need to restart Opera, never mind the PC to get the custom CSS. I’ve added a note to instructions in OT.
