Marking posts as "Sticky"

Hi, am I misunderstanding the term “Sticky” in this context? I <i>think</i> sticky means that it should show as the top post regardless of what I post after it. Instead, nothing is showing, <a href=“http://alessandrapalmer.org/plugin”>As shown here</a>. Any ideas?

Re: Marking posts as "Sticky"

Have you called the article explicitly, with something like <txp:article id="yourstickyarticeid" />?

Re: Marking posts as "Sticky"

“sticky” is an article status when posted, like “live” or “hidden”. you need to set the status attribute to “sticky” in order for the article or aticle_custom tag to return articles with that status. The intention is to be able to set a sticky article as top posted, by using either article or article_custom, without that same article showing again in the article list by using two tags, one with the status set to “sticky”, the other left as live by default. (as one possible use).
