Is textpattern for me?
Hi,
In my company we need a CMS tool do help communicating with one of our providers, as a bug report tool. I mean, we need the possibility to enter articles as a bug report with the bug importance (high, medium, low priority), the bug state (open, closed, suspend, …), the bug description, and sometimes screenshots, attachments, …
After this we should be able to enter comments about the bug, new addition, and our provider should be able to answer the bug.
Would be fine as well if the users could receive an email when a subject has been updated or created.
And we should have some right management, so only some users can create new articles, only some users can answer bugs, …
So can textpattern do this? And if not, what should I use as a tool?

Edit: what it means is that I need:- custom fields, I can create in the admin setup, and not by php programming
- about custom fields, some fields should be a list of value and not only plain text
- strong right managements, so some users will be able to post and others not
- some users should be able to edit posts, other not
- a way to upload and download files in an easy way

Have you Googled for these words: bug tracking software ?
I wouldn’t be surprised if one could bend textpattern to do this kind of thing, but there are probably software packages specifically written for this purpose.

The problem is that usually the software we find with this kind of search are either:
- not free
- offline only, I mean in a network environment but not on the internet
