Textile problem with spans

I just upgraded to 4.0.3, then I modified an old article that contains lots of

%{color:#66737F;font-weight:bold}%

and all the styling is now gone, all I get is the raw code as above. What happened to Textile? Is there a way to fix it?

This might help. You’ll need to get a new version of Textile.

OK, thanks but it used to work in 4.0.2 and previous, so why break the legacy?
