Are there Classes?
Hello everyone,
I own a website www.ThisLushLife.com and I hired a brilliant designer to build it for me. They worked very fast, within budget, continue to answer all my questions, and even make changes for me that are beyond my knowledge. Unfortunately, they are not really able to do weekly changes on my behalf as they are a small operation and have their attention on other customers and building new websites.
For my part I have learned how to upload banner ads and write articles. What I want to learn how to do is create additional navigational buttons on the page — see those category links on the home page? — I want to move them around, and add a new one for Books and Videos. Then I want to be able to change the image links for Books and Videos at the bottom of the screen to more category buttons (for more affiliate programs such as Gourmet Food and Travel, etc.) which would then lead to pages similar to the links in the clothing section.
Is there a particular section at textpattern.com that will explain that to me? Or do I have to learn extensive HTML? Can anyone recommend someone who can do this work for me with a fairly quick turnaround in case I decide that this is all beyond me?
I appreciate your patience. I have been reading the Forums and I know that for the most part the folks coming here have some expertise with HTML and various website coding. I have none but I am eager to try and learn.

Re: Are there Classes?
Hi Corinna,
Nice site, it looks well structured from viewing the HTML source.
My best advice would be to pick up an HTML book, Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML is a good one to get you started. Armed with the knowledge from the book, I don’t see you having any problems maintaining your own site. You can also come back to this forum when you get stuck at times, we were all beginners at one point.
